Wandering

hand printed inkjet book, designed by Paul Wilcken
11"x13" digital inkjet prints

I have a special bond with working at night and especially in low-light conditions. One of my long-term passions is night photography, and I love to create images of urban settings. The Toronto alleyways are stunning, often deserted spaces that have captured my eye and my heart.

These low-light conditions often present challenges to basic vision and limits the tools and techniques, they can also be extraordinarily liberating and stimulate unique points of view. The spaces are broken down and the viewer is exposed to the geometric shapes and lines that are created from the limited light. The images are colorful and exciting and at the same time eerie and alone.

All art prints are available for purchase.
